“I Died Once” Kickstarter Project

“I Died Once” Kickstarter Project

After much deliberation, and truly determining that My Eldest Sister just doesn’t have time to Edit My Novella “I Died Once”, I finally decided to give “Kickstarter” a go…

I’m going to need to Hire an Editor for the Project, so I want to make sure I have a Budget for it…

And money is tight at the moment, but I really don’t want to hold up the Project any longer.

Like I said in a recent post, My Nephew, who is a Professional Ballet Dancer, recently used Kickstarter to To Fund a Small Ballet Piece that he’s Choreographed, Written and will Dance in… Which will be happening at the end of July.

I figure I only want to Budget a couple hundred dollars for an Editor, but one of the things that Kickstarter suggests is Giving Appealing Rewards to Contributors, so you need to include the Costs of the Rewards into the Overall Budget.

My Rewards range from PDF Copies of My Novella for the $5 Contributors, all the way to Signed Copies of both My Novella, and Poetry Book, coupled with a Book Cover Poster, which I intend to have Created next Month.

Some of the Rewards also Include a DVD Copy of My Short Film, “If Not Now…”.

I don’t actually know all that many People, I mean I have a Large Family, but I’m not all that close to many of them… Just a hand full.

So I E-mailed The Project Link to maybe 11 People that I am Close too… But My Mom also Sent it to 11+ other Friends and Relatives, and one of My Sisters, who knows a lot of Artists, sent out maybe 50 E-mails… She also set me up a “Facebook Event” Page, which I had never heard of, Lol I’m not exactly “Savvy” on Facebook, Lol

To My Surprise I got Three Contributors in the last 24 Hours, so who knows, maybe I’ll be able to Hire an Editor, and Finally get this thing Self Published, and in to Our Local Bookstore by July or August.
