Chapter XXVII – Trials
THE KINGDOM OF NORAWYN
IN THE NORTH LANDS
KING ETERR’S CASTLE
In one of the great Norawyn hallways, Agatha and Sir Elm battle the Undead Archers, tearing them limb from limb with their swords… And yet they live on, and keep coming at them…
“CHING!“
“SWISH!“
“WHACK!“
“THIS ISN’T WORKING!!” yells Agatha as she lays waste to the Undead.
“IF YOU HAVE ANOTHER IDEA, I’M OPEN TO IT!!” replies Sir Elm.
Suddenly Agatha looks over at a stain glass window some twenty feet away along the hallway.
“FOLLOW ME!!” she yells, then runs, and hurls herself through the window, dropping some twenty feet below into the Royal Courtyard.
“CRASH!!“
“What the hell??” replies Sir Elm, but he does as she says, runs, and jumps through the window right behind her.
Down below Agatha has landed, and as Sir Elm comes flying down, she leaps at him, catches him, and lands.
“What the hell was that?? That was your idea??” Sir Elm exclaims.
“Wait for it” she replies.
And then suddenly the Undead, reattaching their missing parts, start to leap out the window down to the courtyard as well…
“Ah Great” responds Sir Elm.
“COME ON!!” Agatha yells at Sir Elm, slaps him on his armored arm, and runs deeper into the Courtyard.
“BUT??” he starts to say, then runs after her with a…
“CLANG!“
“CLANG!“
“CLANG!” of his armor.
When Agatha reaches the middle of the Courtyard, by the large fountain, she pulls the Dragon Tu Masa’s Horn off her back, and blows…
“BRRRROOOOONNN!!!” sounds the horn.
Sir Elm arrives just after covering his ears “What in the world??”.
The Undead are approaching, when suddenly the large grey and silver form of the dragon Tu Masa swoops above them, Morr is riding on her back…
“MOOOOVEEE!!” Tu Masa says in the Human Language.
Agatha and Sir Elm jump out from in front of her, leaving only the Undead, who look up at the great dragon, perplexed…
Tu Masa then takes a deep breath in, and then out…
“VROOOOOFFFFF!!!” suddenly all of the ground before her fills with flame, catching all of the Undead Archers on fire….
“SCREEETCCHHHH!!!!” they scream, as their bodies wander around bumping into one another, and the large bushes around them, then fall over and turn to ash.
Laying on the ground nearby are Agatha and Sir Elm… Sir Elm looks over at Agatha with a great smile…
“Brilliant!” he exclaims, and Agatha simply smiles back, then jumps up on to her feet.
“Alright, whose next….” she states, but just as she does, Morr yells down to her from up on Tu Masa’s back…
“AGATHA WATCH OUT!!” and just then The Giant Female Warrior Golem whacks her with her spear, sending Agatha flying some hundred or so feet…
THE THRONE ROOM
Meanwhile, in the Throne Room, Jodan and the remaining six Dark Fortress of Doom Knights are still behind the great pillars, as The Gorgon continues to slither her way towards them, with the grey cloud still filling the room behind her as she goes…
Jodan, still in Werewolf form, looks over at the Knights “GET OUT OF HERE, NOW, AND DON’T LOOK AT THE GORGON!!” he says in his growly wolf voice.
One of the Knights looks over at Jodan “WE’RE NOT LEAVING YOU SIR–” he starts to yell, but is cut off.
“THAT’S AN ORDER!! I’LL HOLD OFF THE GORGON!! NOW GO!!”
Just then the Knights start to pile out of the room, and Jodan, head down in order to avoid the Gorgon’s gaze, chargers and knocks her to the ground…
“HISSSSS!!” she lets out as she hits the ground.
Seeing the Knights have made it out of the room, Jodan then moves like the wind towards the door himself, but not before purple lightning suddenly reaches out from the grey cloud, acting like magical vines, that grab his legs, and drag him back into the chamber…
“HOWWWLLLLLL!! he howls, as he’s dragged…
