Allure… Roy Milon’s, Raised By Wolves
“You Ever Wonder How A Man Like “Roy Milon” Comes To Be? Well, Arram Does… And One Time… She Even Asked Him.”
TWENTY YEARS BEFORE ARRAM AND ROY MET
A LARGE FARM HOUSE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ESCALADE FORESTS
WOLF INFESTED FORESTS
A five year old, white blond haired boy plays in the dirt out by the horse stables.
His mother was inside cooking dinner, and his father was in the barn repairing one of his tools… When it happened.
Now the wolves in the Escalade Forest, for the most part, didn’t come onto the farmer’s land… Partially to do with the huge wolf traps he set all around the edges of the farm… Partly to do with the huge shotgun he kept leaning against his bedside at night.
But on this strange day… In the middle of broad daylight… A very unusual light grey wolf made its way onto the property… It was wounded, and dragged its wounded self towards the young Roy Milon.
Now Roy, being a very imaginative boy, didn’t notice at first…
But once the wolf reached about 15 feet away, that’s when he looked up and saw it standing there, staring directly at him.
“ROY!!!’ suddenly the frantic voice of his mother screamed from the house, and his father came running out of the barn holding a pitchfork.
Roy and the wolf sat there for many moments just staring at one another.
“ROY!! JUST!! DON’T!! MOVE!!” yelled his father as he slowly made his way towards them with the pitchfork… But he was some 150 feet away.
And that’s when the wolf whimpered, and fell over…
Roy’s father and mother quickly ran over, and his father handed her Roy.
“Take the boy inside!!” he demanded as he prepared to make sure it was dead with his pitchfork…
“No Father…” Roy’s little voice spoke back at him.
His father looked back at them “Take the boy inside!!” and the mother started to hurry inside.
But when the father looked back, there was no longer a wolf laying there…
It was a man.
LATER THAT NIGHT
IN A GUEST BEDROOM
The man is sleeping, as Roy’s father stands in the doorway, and lights a pipe.
The wife then appears next to him.
“How can this be Bill… How can a wolf, turn into a man??” she questions.
“I don’t know Martha… I just don’t know” he replied.
The two of them then left, and Roy’s father bolted the door shut.
LATE THAT NIGHT
Little Roy laid wide awake in his bed…
While the wolves in the forest all seem to be howling together…
Little Roy jumped out of bed, and went over to his window, where he could see hundreds of wolves just pacing around the edges of the farm.
Up in the sky was the blaring full moon, lighting up the valley.
And that’s when his father appeared holding that old shot gun…
“Roy… Get down in the basement with your mother” he spoke, and Roy toar out of the room.
But as he passed by the bolted door of the guest room, he thought he heard a noise inside… And so put his ear up against the door.
From inside the door he could hear just one word… “Run…”
With this his eyes widened, and he ran down the stairs and joined his mother in the basement.
Moments later, he and his mother heard a large crash.
As if someone had torn the door of the guest room right off the hinges.
And then two shots.
Followed by a scream…
It sounded like his father.
And finally a great howl from within the house.
“BILL!!!” his mother screamed, then ran up the stairs of the basement, but just as she did the basement door toar open slamming his mother up against the inside wall…
She then tumbled down the stairs, her arms and neck broken.
Roy huddled in the corner of the basement, grasping at the dirt and gravel on the ground.
He could see him… The Wolf Man standing in the doorway…
It’s great glowing yellow eyes staring right at Roy.
“HOWLLL!!” but his brethren wolves called from the forest, and so the wolf man fled.
Roy was left alone for weeks on that farm… The bodies of his dead parents in the house, he slept out in the barn… And every night the wolves lined the outskirts of the farm, Howling… But never entering the farm.
From that day forward… Roy swore to avenge his father and mother, and kill every unnatural being that walked this earth… Along the way, he’s seen plenty of “unnatural” creatures, but he has yet to find that werewolf.
