Brian Eno… An Ambigouen of my Liking

I recently came across a Musician of my Liking, named Brian Eno.

That’s a Wikipedia Link up above, I’ll go ahead and quote part of what they say;

Brian Peter George St. John le Baptiste de la Salle Eno[1] (born 15 May 1948), commonly known as Brian Eno or simply as Eno (play /ˈn/), is an English musician, composer, record producer, singer and visual artist, known as one of the principal innovators of ambient music.[2]

Eno studied at Colchester Institute art school in Essex, England, taking inspiration from minimalist painting. During his time on the art course at the Institute, he also gained experience in playing and making music through teaching sessions held in the adjacent music school.

He joined the band Roxy Music as their keyboards and synthesizers player in the early 1970s. Roxy Music’s success in the glam rock scene came quickly, but Eno soon tired of conflicts with lead singer Bryan Ferry, and of touring, and he left the group after the release of For Your Pleasure (1973), beginning his solo career with the art rock records Here Come the Warm Jets (1973) and Taking Tiger Mountain (By Strategy) (1974). (This Portion Brought to you by Wikipedia)

It may have been on my Pandora Ambient Chanel that I first heard him, but I liked what I heard.

Here’s  a Nice Piece to draw you in;

An Ending (Ascent)

I call him an “Ambigouen”, a word that I kind of sort of made up, as there is something Illusive about him, and his music. I like the 2nd Webster definition for the word Ambiguous – capable of being understood in two or more possible senses or ways (This Portion Brought to you by Merriam Webster). As his Music definitely hits me on more than one level.

The Man Himself;

Harold Budd/Brian Eno – Late October

Brian Eno and Harold Budd – Still Return

Anyway, he caught my ear recently, and I thought I would go ahead and share it… I’ll leave you with one last song, from his Album The Pearl which the Previous Two Songs were also from…

The Visual of this next one is messed up, so just Listen to the Song…

Thanks for Listening/Reading
