Sequined Youth

Listen to While Reading The Poem Below;

Sequined Youth

As I Lay Back and Touch The Sky…

Flower Petals, do I Spy

Amongst the Winds, and Warm Sunlight

These Boys… These Girls

Their Hopes do Fly…

Time is their Friend

I wish It’d never End…

Hopes and Dreams…

None Yet to Mend

We all Have Dreams…

Some Less…

Some More

We Wear Them Like…

Some Sequin…

Adorned

Innocence, is More than Words

The Truths…

The Pains…

Go Yet…

Unheard

Fight!!

Take Flight!!

Learn…

Listen

Sense…

Feel

Slow the Skies…

Embrace Goodbyes

This is your Life…

This is your Time

There’s Been No Mistake…

These Breaths you take

Are Yours, and yours Alone

So Breathe Deep… Know your Soul

Greet Your Friends…

Seek Unknowns

And Live

  1. I don’t know what ‘sequin’ means :$

    • One of Websters Definitions = a small plate of shining metal or plastic used for ornamentation especially on clothing

I keep this Link on my Desktop, use it all the time http://www.merriam-webster.com/, especially reading Anna’s stuff, ha.

Wikipedia’s Definition = Sequins are disk-shaped beads used for decorative purposes. They are available in a wide variety of colors and geometrical shapes. Sequins are commonly used on clothing, jewelry, bags, shoes and lots of other accessories.

Although coins are still used as sequins in some cultures, modern sequins tend to be made of plastic.

Sequins may be stitched flat to the fabric, so that they do not move, and are less likely to fall off; or they may be stitched at only one point, so that they dangle and move easily, to catch more light.

You know, the kinda sparkly Red Carpet Dresses, hee hee
